The speech of the Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, MP of Ukraine Mustafa Jemilev on the Parliamentary hearing in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, titled: “Ethnic and National Policy of Ukraine: Achievements and Prospects”

UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination recommends Ukraine to ensure the political, social and economic rights of Crimean Tatars in Crimea. This is stated in the concluding observations of the Committee on the basis of Ukraine's report on compliance with the International Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Racial Discrimination, made on a Committee session (8 August - 2 September 2011).

n December 22 the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych left on official visit to Turkey. During the visit Viktor Yanukovych met President of Turkey Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

On 11th of December 2011 the President of the Society of Culture and Mutual Aid of Crimean Tatars in Turkey, the former Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Turkey (1973-1974), Dr. Ahmed Ihsan Kırımlı died.
