Crimean Community
Crimean Community of Kyiv is a representative body of all Crimeans in the capital of Ukraine. The community seeks to foster the unity and creative survival of Crimeans while maintaining their spiritual, cultural and social heritage outside their historical land. The community constantly conducts the meetings of countrymen in order to promote the unity and support their own authentic values and traditions. The community supports every initiatives of cross-cultural cooperation that are directed on promotion of harmony, tolerance and mutual respect of different cultures and confessions of Ukraine.
Crimean Community works to
• Secure the rights and safety of Crimeans in Kyiv as well as other cities of Ukraine;
• Strengthen the ties of solidarity of Crimean people outside Crimea;
• Act in coordination with and on behalf of National Parliament of Crimeans (Milliy Qurultay) and National Government of Crimeans (Milliy Meclis) before governmental, nongovernmental and other authorities on both local and national levels;
• Represent all Crimeans outside Crimea.
• Build international dialogue of understanding between Crimeans, Ukrainians, Kazan Tatars and other national minorities of Ukraine.
The mission of the Community is foundation and development of Cultural Center of the Crimean Tatars in Kyiv.
This institution takes the aim of acquaintance of residents and guests of Kyiv with an art, literature, science and history of native people of Crimea, and also satisfaction of cultural, social and educational necessities of Crimean Tatar society of Kyiv.
One of the priorities of the community is promotion of cultural life in Kyiv and civil society in Ukraine, which is based on principles of tolerance, mutual respect and understanding.
